The A. Philip Randolph Institute of Delaware will be hosting a dinner and dance to be held on Friday, February 22, 2008, to celebrate their work, honor a member of organized labor, and a member of the community who has demonstrated consistent support for their goals. Their Keynote speaker will be Clayola Brown, National President of the A. Philip Randolph Institute.
Their award recipients will be:
Sam
Lathem, President of the Delaware AFL-CIO will
receive their first labor service award for his
rise within the labor movement and dedication
to the causes of working people.
Sally Milbury-Steen, Executive Director of Pacem in Terris will be honored for her long years work for peace and justice in their communities.
We are proud to honor both these hard and dedicated workers.
The dinner will be held at the IBEW Local 313 Hall located at 814 W. Basin Road, New Castle, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Tickets for their event are $75 each or $725 for a table of 10. The price includes an open bar before dinner, the meal and entertainment.
There is also an opportunity to
send greetings to their honorees with a line or
up to a full-page ad in the souvenir booklet.
