APRI Florida State: Ninth Annual A. Philip Randolph Memorial Birthday Celebration  

The Florida A. Philip Randolph Institute, Inc. will host the Ninth Annual A. Philip Randolph Memorial Birthday Celebration, April 17, 2010, 7:00 P.M. at the Cocoa Beach Hilton Hotel, 1550 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. Cocktail Reception 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Proceeds from the sponsorship will support voter education, organizing non-partisan (GOTV) drives and health care awareness programs of the State Chapter.

The 2010, recipient of the Asa Philip Randolph Lifetime Achievement Award is Mike Williams, President. Often referred to as one of the most committed, energized forward thinking Labor Leaders in recent times.

We will also have the esteemed honor of bestowing the Eminence Award to our own Congressman Alan Grayson, District 8, which encompasses Orlando and the surrounding areas.

The Prestigious TUSKEGEE AIRMEN will be present to share with us their legacy and how Mr. Randolph’s action and dreams changed the course of history.

Distinguished Legislative Service Award – Michael C. Blake, Mayor, City of Cocoa
