Born on September 16, 1970, Otis Moss III is the son of Otis Moss Jr. and currently serves as the senior pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. He is known as a preacher, activist, author, and filmmaker. Moss III focuses on black theology and addresses issues such as mass incarceration, environmental justice, and economic inequality. He graduated from Morehouse College and earned advanced degrees from Yale Divinity School and Chicago Theological Seminary.

Both Reverend Otis Moss Jr. and III have made significant contributions to religious leadership, social justice activism, and community advancement, continuing a legacy of civil rights advocacy spanning multiple generations.

Born on February 26, 1935, Otis Moss Jr. is an American pastor, theologian, speaker, author, and activist2. He played a significant role in the Civil Rights Movement and was a close friend of both Martin Luther King Jr. and Martin Luther King Sr2. Moss Jr. served as pastor of several churches, including Mount Olive Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia, and Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio2. He was also an advisor to President Jimmy Carter and has connections with influential figures such as Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Oprah Winfrey.
